The new-generation "guillotine glass balcony" is a motorized vertical sliding glass system operated seamlessly via remote control. Driven by high-torque electric motors using high-strength chains or belts, the glass panels move vertically. When fully opened, the system serves as an elegant, secure glass railing (balustrade); when completely closed, it functions as a highly insulated glass enclosure.

Dangerous failures are frequently encountered in standard vertical glass systems (such as timing belt-driven or generic chain-driven models) where user safety is overlooked.
In timing belt systems, belt snapping can cause the glass sash to drop instantly. In standard chain systems, rust buildup leads to gear slippage or system jamming; if left unaddressed, these issues can also result in dangerous sash drops. To completely eliminate the risk of such accidents, GioSafe utilizes exclusively heavy-duty chrome-plated chains paired with custom-engineered stainless steel gears.

One of the signature details of the GioSafe system is the moving handrail profile, located on the topmost sash and specifically engineered to prevent accidental finger pinching. In the GioSafe system, this profile is both highly functional and exceptionally aesthetic.
When you fully lower the glass panels to open up the space, the handrail profile does not simply stack awkwardly on top of the other sashes. Instead, it seamlessly aligns and integrates with the other panels, creating a flawless, modern glass balustrade that adds a sophisticated touch of elegance to any environment.
Children love to climb. But what if there is an empty drop behind them?
At this exact point, the child locks—found exclusively in the GioSafe system—will never allow danger to happen! How?
At GioSafe, security is our red line! That is why we feature a comprehensive dual-stage safety system. The first is our standard Safety Switch, and the second is our elite "Safety Use" (Winnice Patented) security architecture, which gives our product its name. In the first safety stage, while the glass sashes are tilted open in a bottom-hung (vasistas) position for cleaning, power to the motor is automatically cut off. The system will absolutely not operate, preventing any mechanical mishaps.
Our second safety system adds an extra layer of protection to the first: all glass sashes must be fully lowered to the ground and positioned as a solid balustrade. Specialized sensors and locking hardware built into the system will block the sashes from tilting open for cleaning unless this exact position is reached.
To explain in detail: during installation, any pre-existing old railings on your balcony or terrace are removed. The standard bottom sash of the guillotine system then acts as your new, solid glass railing. When purchasing generic systems that lack the "Safety Use" mechanism, the first glass panel can be tilted open for cleaning before the top panels are fully lowered to the base. This design flaw invites severe danger for our children and pets during cleaning or through accidental opening. Please do not forget to select your preferred safety type when placing your orders!

When the GioSafe system is tilted open for cleaning (in the bottom-hung position), the second glass sash does not rest directly against the first one, eliminating the risk of hands getting crushed or pinched between them. In the GioSafe system, the second sash rests securely within its own specially engineered compartment. This structural design ensures a generous safety clearance space between the two panels when the system is opened for maintenance, providing an effortless and entirely safe cleaning experience.

One of the most common issues encountered in standard guillotine glass systems is that the pile weatherstripping (kıl fitil) inside the side profiles shifts vertically over time due to friction. This movement causes the seals to dislodge and become tangled in the drive belt or chain mechanism.
When this occurs, the moving glass panel jams on one side. As the high-torque electric motor continues to pull from the opposite side, it forces the sashes apart, leading to structural failures and dangerous panel drops. To completely eliminate this risk, GioSafe features a custom-engineered upper side profile slot. This innovative slot permanently locks the pile weatherstripping in its designated place, preventing any vertical displacement and eliminating these hazardous operational failures.

Unlike generic alternatives on the market that utilize standard 1.5 mm thickness, GioSafe’s first-opening sash stay mechanisms (makas) are custom-engineered with a heavy-duty 3 mm thickness. Thanks to this robust structural design, the system possesses the structural integrity to easily support the full weight of the glass panels, even during irregular or forceful operations (such as opening or closing the system faster or harder than normal).

GioSafe is custom-engineered to prevent any water ingress, even during the heaviest rainfalls. Maximum water insulation and reliable drainage are achieved by sealing all system components with premium rubber gaskets and designing the bottom sill profile with a precise outward slope.
Dual espagnolettes, 100% insulation!
Generic double-sided plastic locks or single-handle central rod (tijli) locking systems used in standard guillotine models fail to grip the moving sash uniformly. As a result, they cannot provide a tight, completely insulated seal upon closure. The engineered solution is a dual-sided handle espagnolette system, built natively into GioSafe. These dual-sided espagnolettes pull the frame tightly, applying the exact required compression force to the gaskets between the sash and side profiles, thereby delivering maximum thermal and air insulation.
