Question 1

In which regions and locations is the use of bioclimatic pergolas more advantageous?

Accepted Answer

Especially in hot, sunny regions with frequent climate changes, it is highly preferred because it offers comfort throughout all four seasons. It provides a significant commercial advantage by allowing homes to use their gardens and terraces, as well as the outdoor areas of commercial establishments such as restaurants, cafes, and hotels, uninterrupted for 12 months. With these features, it enables you to have a comfortable living space everywhere, from Samsun to Antalya, and from Muğla to Istanbul.

Question 2

What is a bioclimatic pergola and how does it differ from classic pergolas?

Accepted Answer

A bioclimatic pergola is a modern outdoor shading system featuring intelligent aluminum or glass slats (wings) on its roof that can move with the help of a motor. While classic pergolas are usually fixed or simply have a fabric retractable structure, bioclimatic systems provide both sun control and natural ventilation simultaneously by changing the angle of the slats.

Question 3

Do bioclimatic pergola systems provide protection in rainy and snowy weather?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it provides complete protection. When the aluminum slats in the system are fully closed, it achieves 100% waterproofing. Furthermore, thanks to integrated smart rain sensors, the roof automatically closes as soon as it starts raining, even when you're not home, keeping the area below dry. Accumulated water is safely drained away via hidden drainage channels.

Question 4

How can a bioclimatic pergola contribute to energy savings?

Accepted Answer

When the movable louvers are slightly opened, they allow the warm air inside to rise and escape (chimney effect). This creates a natural coolness outside and significantly reduces the need for air conditioning or additional cooling in the summer months, resulting in energy savings.
